Covid: A Love Story

With all of the challenges of the last three years, I've never been more certain I married the right person.

I was thrilled that The Free Press included my “what I learned in 2022” tidbit in their year-end wrap up. My little micro-essay was based on a chapter in my book, Levi’s Unbuttoned, about my husband, Daniel.

I’m sharing an edited version of the chapter below.

With all of the challenges of the last three years — the loss of friends and livelihood and a life that felt familiar; job loss; being on the receiving end of so much hatred and vitriol — I’ve never been more certain I married the right person.

If you’ve read my book, sorry this is redundant. If you haven’t, here’s proof it’s not just another covid rant. It’s meant to be a memoir which — yes — includes my last few years at Levi’s. But it is also the story of a life in which battles were fought and won. And love and self-acceptance were found.
