Sorry. But I've learned persistence pays off!

Ok — full transparency. This movie — Generation Covid — needs to be made. Many of you have donated to our Give Send Go already. And for that, I’m so grateful!

In case you didn’t give yet, and you still want to, you can do so here. And I totally understand if you can’t! I’m just thankful you’re here.

We’ve raised close to $17k so far! Which is pretty good. But here’s the deal:

A high quality documentary costs about $1 million to make. From investors, we’ve raised close to $500k so far and I put a significant amount in myself (about 20%). I’m doing it because the message needs to be heard. I’m dedicating my time and money because everyone needs to hear from the kids and families themselves, to truly understand the impact of prolonged school closures. And to be motivated to:

1. Find ways to get these children the help they need to get back on track;

2. Make sure it never happens again.

So I have a new offer. Here it is:

1. Sign up here as a founding member. I’ll send you a signed copy of my book Levi’s Unbuttoned (I’ll need your address but we can figure that out later) . . .

2. And I’ll donate all of those funds to the movie. 100%. (I don’t know how to provide the proof of that but I’ll figure that out. In the meantime I’ll ask for you to trust me.)

3. And you’ll be invited to a screening of the film once it’s done. Maybe a special digital preview, maybe real life and in person. TBD . . .

Ok that’s the best I got.

We will be able to finish this film for much less than the $1 million I mentioned above because we are lean and scrappy. I’m estimating we will come in under budget by about 30%.

But we’ve got a ways to go to raise enough to finish.
