Sorry to be such a pest these last few days! Wanted to let y’all know that we just released a limited edition t-shirt — for men and women.
It was the result of our first ever vote on IG — we believe in democracy! So we let our fans decide. Here are the results:
I like the Thought Criminal one so we may have to make that one anyway, even though it didn’t win.
But we made the one that did win. And a week and and a little bit later — voilà!
Limited quantities available so go check it out.
Ok I’ll stop spamming you now, I promise.
One last thing — the new Title IX re-write is now blocked in nearly half of our 50 states. The new law, set to go live August 1, erases the original meaning of Title IX and broadens sex based rights to mean “gender identity.”
The Education Department will not be able to enforce its re-write of the law in a total of 21 states, with the most recent additions being Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska and South Dakota.
Katherine Knott for Inside Higher Ed wrote:
Judge Rodney Sippel of the Eastern District of Missouri found that the states had a “fair chance of prevailing” on their arguments that the new regulations, which strengthen protections for LGBTQ+ students, exceed the department’s authority and violate the First Amendment.
I’m assuming, without reading the decision, that the First Amendment violations are around compelled speech (e.g. pronouns, and the fact that in the Title IX rewrite “misgendering” is considered sexual harassment). You can read it for yourself here. I didn’t have time yet but I’ll do it tonight and report back.
21 states. Keep going. Make your voices heard. Stand Up.
Clear eyes, full hearts can’t lose.
Ok I think I'm wrong and it's 25 states (my bad, moving too fast). Thanks to a lovely reader and friend for the correction:

Put me down for a Thought Criminal shirt too. Seems like those of us who consider social media part of the problem missed the "election."
