I'm a girl Dad to 3 women. I'm also a hard core TERF.

A decade ago, I didn't give AF if some dude wanted to wear a dress. However...

After having his fetish shoved down my throat, I now simply write them all off. There's not enough time in the day for me to bother with their assault on reality and language.

The backlash is real.

Edited to add:

Instead of becoming a paid sub here, I'm getting my 3 daughters and my 2 grand daughters XX-XY T-shirts. NGL... I NEVER wear nor buy logo T-shirts. I think that whole 'Nike' and Tommy Gofigger crap is for the birds.

HOWEVER... when I think of my girls... Yeah, it's worth the dough.

1. Thank you. 2. If you don't like sporting a big logo but want to support the brand there are lots of small logo options, especially in performance product. But mostly thank you.

No, Ma'am, THANK THE HELL OUTTA YOU!

I first came across you after you wrote your first book (Rogan? Triggernometery? IDK, one of my podcast go-to's) and learned what they did to you at Levi Strauss.

I didn't connect XX-XY w/ that doll until just recently.

You totally rock. You could be one of my kids or my baby sister, no lie. You and that Gen X Auntie Phaetasy had a fantastic interview and that's when I realized you were the same woman.

Oh, and I'll get one for myself too...

WITH THE BIGGEST FRIKKIN' LETTERS YOU GOT! LOL

Keep up the great work, and make a freaking fortune doing it; it's important.

Jim, thank you. Reading your reply just made me laugh. And I need that. I have my T shirt with the big FRIKKIN' letters and it is amazing.

I love women who want the best for other women / girls. I am a girl dad and the son of a mother who gave up her young adult years to have and raise me and my four younger brothers. After we were raised and she had helped my dad with the family business, she went back to college, got her BA and Masters degrees in fine art and pursued her painting and art education careers. She had it all and is my idea of the ideal woman. Jennifer, you remind me of my mom

I love this. Cool mom you got. ;-)

I love this story - and the fact Jen that your advocacy through XX-XY Athletics apparel enables us to demonstrate our support for girls and women publicly and bring us together in the process.

This morning I received an email with a story about a long-time sports columnist for the Seattle Times named Matt Calkins who felt compelled to resign after being denied by his editors the opportunity to tell a story about the young women who attended the Indiana Fever - Seattle WNBA game to show their support for Sophie Cunningham - and how they were treated by the co-owner of the Seattle club for so doing.

The link to Matt’s post on X about his decision to resign is here: https://x.com/matt_calkins/status/2090483833057751064?s=43.

After reading his comments I decided to show my support for Matt in the face of his difficult decision to resign by subscribing to his Substack column. I hope you will also “find Matt” as a fellow defender of women’s rights in athletics.

The XX-XY shirts are wonderfully visible and have the clearest, simplest message. They also are legit the best quality fabric t-shirt I've ever owned. I haven't worn mine to the Olympia Farmer's Market yet though. That needs to happen.

One day I was working the front desk of the library and a woman came up to check out her books, wearing an xx-xy shirt. I said to her, quietly, “I like your shirt. I have the same one.” She looked at me and said, “and you work for the library?” ( Public libraries are extremely hostile to any thinking that isn’t boilerplate Democratic Party. And this library is in one of the most Democratic areas of the country.) I kind of gave her a “what can you do?” shrug and she said “good for you.” The interaction made me feel a little less alone.

Father of two daughters. Wear my Dad Girl T proudly as well as others of Jenn's male line. My wife has an active collection as well.

Would love to see you create a T with the SC kick ass lady pointing that finger! I would wear it daily!

Thanks so much for passing this along! For anyone outside the PNW, the Olympia farmers market is not obviously fertile ground for reasonable discussions of this or other current issues. Home of Evergreen State College and our ridiculously captured state legislature, Olympia isn’t far removed from “Portlandia” on T on the best of days. News of Woke’s demise has not yet reached many of us on Puget Sound and beyond.

And yet. As thoroughly weird as the PNW is (and it is very weird) the ground shifts ever so slightly. What arguably started as fallout from the 2017 madness at Evergreen, the 2020 WoLF event at SPL, and the Grievance Studies affair at PSU, some space seems to have opened for coverage of Kallie Keeler and Frances Staudt and Ahnaleigh Wilson’s experiences (big thanks to Brandi Kruse), the first Sophie Cunningham rally, and now Matt Calkin’s resignation from the Seattle Times. It’s not seismic, but it’s not not seismic. Maybe isostatic rebound. We’re so mightily weighted with connected ideologies and the mental scaffolding holding it all in place that a significant buckling of our edifices seems inevitable.

So I’m grateful to everyone wearing XX-XY and having the grace to discuss reality, one person at a time, until common sense is cool again. As the author notes of the young woman at the market: “This was not a theoretical discussion for her.” Yeah. This is the heart of it. A whole lot of educated and credulous adults have mistaken theory for reality for years, ignoring the real-world impact their luxury beliefs have on real people—in this case girls and young women who pay for that foolishness in person. The least we can do for these girls is to keep showing up and speaking up. Thanks, Jennifer and XX-XY for helping us find each other!

Amazing piece by Jasmin. Thank you so much for sharing this Jennifer. What Jasmin wrote it SOOOO true!

This concept is getting old: "Many of us come from progressive/liberal backgrounds and have spent our lives supporting women’s rights, gay and lesbian rights, fairness, and equality." I'm beyond exhausted being told that progressives/liberals "own" the world of support for women's rights, etc. No, they do not. Perhaps there was a time when a fringe of "non-progressives" were anti-women, but today this fringe is microscopically populated by idiots.

Steve's avatar

I don’t think that’s what she is insinuating.

Richard Koffler's avatar

Then why did she need to include "...come from progressive/liberal backgrounds and..." instead of simply "Many of us have spent our lives..."? This disclaimer repeats itself myriad times by myriad people who seem compelled to explain their virtue of being 'progressive/liberal'.

Lisa Simeone's avatar

I think she included it because she, like many of us, is sick and tired of being smeared as a "rightwing bigot" just for standing up for women and girls.

Jasmin Faulk's avatar

That is what I meant. Thank you.

Jasmin Faulk's avatar

Because many think the progressive/liberals all support the extremist stance on gender ideology (especially in the PNW). The more we voice our detachment as progressive/liberals from this stance, the more we normalize it within progressive spaces. The boundary we are drawing on this issues is seen as a conservative movement in our country—but it is a non-partisan, common sense, full circle coalition of social political beliefs, and it has to be said so that the left realizes this is a lost cause and they should abandon the unsustainable position they’ve held for the past 10 years.

Richard Koffler's avatar

Perhaps you can help me by explaining what makes you lot 'progressive/liberals'? We now know it isn't XX_YY. Is it open borders? Free everything by the state? Tax the rich? Anti-Zionism? No police? No prisons?

Jasmin Faulk's avatar

Thank you, Jen for the repost and share. That moment stood out for me since living in the PNW is deeply challenging when it comes to diversifying points of view on social political issues — but I know it is one of many happening all over the country today thanks to your amazing brand, your unwavering commitment, and our powerfully resilient coalition. We will regain the assertion that women and girls deserve to speak up for themselves!

Jennifer I think what you do is making a real difference. I know you have sacrificed a lot but we are all very grateful. Thank you.

I ❤️ the Tshirt campaigns.

I used to (and still do) wear @April Hutchinson branded athletic wear and was nervous at first wearing it in public. Then I forgot I had it on. People kept smiling at me and I kept thinking that’s really odd, why is everyone smiling at me and wanting to say hello as I went about my daily errands. Finally a man approached me and asked who’s that on your hoodie and is that you? It cracked me up given how different we look and I said “I wish. No that’s our Team Canada power lifting champion who was suspended for speaking out against males competing and females and she can deadlift a woman 4 times my weight”. I ❤️ her, he said. And then we talked about sports.

The xx-xy branded athletic wear is even more powerful to wear IMO because almost everyone recognizes the chromosomes and gets the messaging. The quality and fit is outstanding. So if you haven’t tried wearing the brand, just do it. See what happens because you’re likely to get far more people smiling at you than disapproval.

We ought to know this because we know there is majority support across all demographics and

political spectrums over this issue. It unites people in a time when we desperately need that.

This is so real. I was thrilled the day someone saw my visor and said she had the same one! I can’t wait for the next person. I have mot yet seen anyone wearing it but I look forward to the day.

I’m sure we’ll see something about it here, but I just heard somethong about a supporter of XX-XY Athletcs buying a spot to be displayed at a recent NY Liberty game and it was altered?
