During Olympics i commented to someone who only listens to MSM that this boxer was a male in a female sport. They corrected me quickly to let me know he was female…. Because CNN said so. Now that this information has come to light do you think CNN or any other MSM will correctly report this? NO they wont. That is the problem: once the lie is out there it remains as “fact” in people mind. And i think that is the plan.

no they will not. they will first, be silent. second, if forced, they'll defend Khelif as female. Because, if you say you are a woman you are. According to the gender cult.

Based on my, admittedly increasingly sporadic, observations of how mainstream news organizations cover the gender issue, and in particular men in women's sports, I question whether they would simply adopt the "transwomen are women", end of discussion approach to this news. It seems to me more likely that they would instead respond with some variant of the throw up chaff, obfuscate, and shift attention approach. They would first make an ad hominem attack against Reduxx and Genevieve Gluck by labeling her as far right transphobe who has violated Khelif's medical privacy and needs to stop obsessing over other people's genitals. They would also pile up a word salad around what it means to be "intersex." Perhaps they'll split some imaginary hairs to try to establish that an individual with a micro penis could belong to an intermediate sex and somehow still qualify as female. And they may mix in some appeals to empathy for Khelif. It will be a continuation of the message they conveyed during the Olympics: You did not see what you saw, a man pummeling women. You must stop relying on your own knowledge and senses and leave these matters to your betters.

I agree they will. First they screamed Imane is a biological woman. Now they'll scream if you say you're a woman you are.

Reminds me of a poem.

Late Lament

The Moody Blues

Breathe deep the gathering gloom

Watch lights fade from every room

Bedsitter people look back and lament

Another day's useless energy is spent

Impassioned lovers wrestle as one

Lonely man cries for love and has none

New mother picks up and suckles her son

Senior citizens wish they were young

Cold-hearted orb that rules the night

Removes the colors from our sight

Red is grey and yellow-white

But we decide which is right

And which is an illusion

/end

We decide which is right and which is an illusion. Simple. I trust myself more than pundits and erstwhile experts. They may have knowledge but they lack wisdom.

It’s going to be interesting to see how things progress from here. Hoping some sanity reasserts itself.

Bullshit. The IOC hits Olympians with a barrage of pre Games exams and bloodwork. Every international competition does that. Part of looking for doping is checking testosterone levels. Even girly looking women get bounced out of elite competition if it’s high.

You’re ignorant of sport and what we do, you post outright lies defaming people and that makes you an awful person.

I spent decades training competing and teaching fencing. I know how this works. You couldn’t even bother to do a Google search.

Feel free to disagree with anything I write or the commenters write. But calling us ignorant or "awful people" is not a good faith argument. The Olympics stopped testing for chromosomes in 1999. The IOC did introduce testosterone testing in 2012. But it is possible to suppress testosterone with medication (as the track and field governing body has said Semenya must do to compete in the women's category; Semenya has declined to do so) without removing all male advantage. In the same way people take steroids to train but then stop/ween/suppress before a competition. And I would argue, as would many honest doctors, that if a person has gone through male puberty, the male advantage can never be suppressed. Did you bother to do a google search?

Awful is the appropriate term, in fact weak, for somebody who libels and defames people. You published a pack of lies and the wrong picture about a woman you don’t know. You only did a cursory look up when you got fact checked.

The IOC doesn’t need to to do those tests because sport governing orgs do them long before the IOC might need to. You are not an athlete and have no idea how any of this works. You are, however, a small petty woman who has to denigrate accomplished people to have a social media post.

You’re also stunningly ignorant of First Amendment law, and really deserve to get hauled up into Federal Civil court by that woman’s legal team, as well as the IOC who you’ve also defamed.

It not just the ignorance; you are a liar and you know you are lying. Vicious gossip fits as well.

You have never put in the time or the sweat or the pain or the tears, so you can just fuck right off on trashing us who have.

You have no defense. Why are you even trying?

Death by a thousand lies

Expand full comment
Lizzy Claiborne's avatar

Hey incredibly ignorant person - years before anybody gets to an Olympic Games the barrage of bloodwork and medical exams begins. It is literally not possible for a male to masquerade as female when hormone levels are checked 4x a year minimum to look for doping.

Also, the other women in the locker room would notice.

That picture is not the person in question. You swapped it for a completely different person. You thought we wouldn’t notice?

This is a giant lie. A decade of medical scrutiny on an elite athlete doesn’t miss this stuff. I have around forty years (since 1977) training, competing, and coaching an Olympic sport. These people don’t appear from nowhere, they’ve been known in the sport for years. Developing a boxer (or a fencer, what I do) literally takes years of teaching the skills and getting experience at competitions. And yet you claim nobody noticed a man in the women’s brackets?

This is ridiculous.

Me too. I got told emphatically by women not least that Khelif was 'born female', with links to various US reportage confirming this. I think for the blissfully ignorant majority, they just can't believe such lengths of deception would be gone to at that level, or at all. Read it and weep - then wake up to Woke - folks.

no i don't believe that actually. These people who say stuff like that are for radical body positivity. Fat acceptance. All of it. But somehow they believe children can be born wrong. And they must chop up their bodies and take sterilizing hormones to be in the right body?

As it happens I've recently published a book ('The Fatter Sex') on the pros and cons of the 'body positivity' and fat acceptance movement. I'm not sure what you don't believe here, but if you mean you don't think these people are ignorant, I'm afraid in the case of my sister she is, yet she and many others I know who have no interest in actual politics, including this debate, but who are suddenly sure that gender ideology is kind and progressive.

That’s not her. They swapped out her picture.

The IOC, and every elite competition she went to on the road to an Olympics, required bloodwork and medical exams. They’re primarily looking for doping, but with steroids you do extensive sex hormone levels. There are strict rules about testosterone level limits in women and high readings get you a chromosome check.

If any of these libels were true it would’ve been caught years before she made it to an Olympic Games. Fifty years ago testosterone resistant males could slip through, but they didn’t know they weren’t women. Those people are super girly girl looking.

Besides, no testosterone means no advantages of muscle or bone mass. It’s moot.

Do better lies. This is sad.

Excellent fast take, Jennifer! I found zero typos! I also felt absolutely terrible about the wonderful female athletes, the mixed teams like 4x400 US team, because so many said boycott the entire Olympics and that is just not fair. The brainwashing and indoctrination is shocking. My neighbor's who fly the flag designed by Roger Hogge, aka Monica Helms, a child sexual molester, called the police on me for putting out perfectly legal campaign information to vote NO on Proposal 1! This referendum ballot initiative is a frontrunner in legal gymnastics to codify into the state constitution that males with "gender identity" and "gender expression" are entitled to compete and train in the team of their choice. The wording on the ballot is not even the same as the original proposal. There will be so many legal challenges if it passes. Keep up the good work, and any subscribers in NY state, NO on Proposal 1!

It was obvious his supporters knew he was a man since the group of muslim men carrying him on their shoulders to celebrate him NEVER would have done that for a woman.

I also was insulted and ridiculed and patronized for saying he Khelif was visibly a man in so many ways. Medals for beating women and perhaps causing permanent damage, but who cares about women?

Sport is also a way that many oppressed girls and women can get money for an education, a home, survival...., but men who rank way below other men in sports are taking that away.
