It's a focus on spending most free time off of social media, being outside and parents keeping the tablets, phones, laptops, etc, in their bedroom for night charging such that bedtime can be brought back to family and normalcy. Just as my ex husband's transition was not my fault, this is not your fault. The fault lies squarely with the doctors and psychologists who used vulnerable people to launch sexy careers, line their pockets and get published in studies with very lacking peer review and usually very few subjects. Your story and the experiences women like you are why I have a “make Orwell fiction again“ magnet on the back of my car. Unfortunately, my daughter is 22 now and her decline was a product of Covid lockdown and isolation as a high school senior, among other cultural influences. We severely restricted tech when she was in middle and high school, but it doesn’t work. The battle is too brutal, the parents are made to be the enemy fighting against the intended addiction, and then once in-person relationships were made out to be criminal it was all lost. Her life took an incredibly dark turn at that point, but she now lives very far away from us in Colorado while she finishes her education. Her journey through gender ideology is shocking (whose isn’t?) and criminal on the part of physicians and educators and government you well know. ❤️

Having read quite a few comments recently on other Substacks from progressive trans allies, their most common defense of letting males play on women-only teams is: "But there are so few of them!" Sometimes they'll go so far as to throw out low numbers in the single digits. Their attitude is that the matter is so minor and inconsequential as to be unworthy of notice or discussion by reasonable people.
Now, that's rich coming from progressives, since they take a zero-tolerance approach when they claim members of their favored racial and ethnic identity groups are being harmed.
First, it is doubtful only a "few" fake females are playing as females on female-only teams in female-only sports. But assuming for the sake of argument they are right - so what? One male is one male too many.
Secondly, it is reasonable to believe that the number of males seeking to crash female sports will only increase with time. That's true for the number of transitioners. Also, it is safe to assume that joining a female team in a female sport will become a form of individual and group activism.
Third, refusing to engage in a discussion on the merits of males in female sports on the grounds that it is a non-issue is a type of tactic favored by trans activists and trans allies. When faced with criticism, they demonize, slur, shame and censor their opponents. Here, the effect is to make sex realists look like kooks for nitpicking about something that isn't really happening. Since the tactic prevents a reasonable dialogue on men in women's sports, it is also a form of censorship.
My response to this pushback is "One guy is one guy too many when it comes to males in women's sports."
