As the world has gotten "bigger," by way of big pharma, big farming, big shopping, big eating, big medicine, the only things that have gotten smaller are truth and freedom.
This topic hits me hard because I lost my brother two years ago who had reached over 400 lbs and I am plauged by guilt that I did not do enough. I nagged a little, suggested getting help, but unfortunately the big "intervention" came too late. So fat positivity is a lie, and I guess I am proud a little that I am under 200 lbs for the first time since HS (50 year reunion coming next year!) so my wife and daughter will not go through what I went through.
Thanks for taking on this topic. And yes fat acceptance and trans for kids are branches of the same, diseased tree. And that tree makes money for the Bigs.....
Thank you. He was my brother and my best friend too so I will never completely get over the loss, BUT trying to use his passing as motivation to take better care of myself. Also to not be so passive with loved ones who exhibit self destructive behaviors. So yes, will try to use his memory as a blessing.

Brava, Jennifer! No kidding about the hypocrisy. If you can believe this, the "sexologist" psychologist who diagnosed my ex-husband in 1 appointment (1993) actually said in a sworn affidavit submitted to the custody proceedings for our sons that "role progression" of men who are "trans women" often involves losing weight! Here is my 1 minute video, which I hope will go viral, to urge NY state voters to say NO to Proposal 1. This vague paragraph to be inserted in NY state constitution would make it very hard for schools, counties and clubs to have girls-only sports or activities. "Gender expression" and "gender identity" are words voters will say yes or no to, proposed for our state constitution. It is falsely claimed to be reproductive choice. This is called "force-teaming," that is, piggybacking on another civil rights issue, adding the trans cause. I'm hearing there's something like this in Missouri. Also, Jennifer, I'm happy to collaborate with you on the mind/body healing actually needed for a confused child. I already have a movements playlist. Thanks! Ute
I’m waiting for the girl who later says. “I got a binder from the school nurse when all I needed was 20 minutes with her and a midol.” My kids graduated 20 years ago and from what I gleaned in recent years from school board meetings podcasts from all sides, is my concern above beyond what’s happening now?
