I needed this. I needed to hear how someone like you who puts themselves out in the white hot public realm, open to attack from any twit, works through this really, really tough stuff. Deep down. Starting with ‘what do I believe’. Such a wonderful, empowering, grounding, instructional, foundational question.

Most of my anxiety and dread comes from not knowing what I believe.

Thank you for sharing this.

I appreciate the brutal honesty and self reflection. It is obvious both why you were successful but also that Corporate Life long term was not the right fit for you. I know pushing the rock up the hill feels too tough at times, but it is your rock in the end. Persevere. Never ever ever quit.

Can I say that as much as we are not friends, I wish we were and part of me feels like on a spiritual level maybe we are? I will admit to getting a big smile when I see a new update from Sey Everything.

On a different level, any comment on the new mayor of SF? Topic for another day?

Bravo! Grit is the key.

I didn't need research because I'm old enough to remember REAL epidemics, polio and the '57 flu. Everyone was sick, or knew someone who was sick or disabled. That didn't happen in 2020, so I knew that whatever this was, it certainly WASN'T what the media said. And in previous REAL epidemics, nobody imprisoned the entire country or forced the entire country to recycle our breath. Those are EXACTLY the wrong things to do in a real epidemic. Guranteed to ruin immunity. Socializing and normal work and normal breathing are the first needs.

When I need grit I remember Grandma, who followed the Mary Baker Eddy approach to sickness and sadness. She never stopped trying to enjoy life, and she lived to 100.

Key words. I have myself and my integrity. Keep it steady, Jen .

Those whom were in your life before you displayed the courage they lack have lost friendship with a leader. You.

I am a bit senior to you. 82nd year , retired and do not give a shit what anyone thinks about what I do or say.

I was also a runner. High School. College. Completed 26 marathons . Texas representative on the 1980 Winter Olympics Torch Relay Team. On the oval, when the gun went off, it was each athlete for himself. Guts.

Running experience helped me in life. Race to the finish. Winning is gold.

You are a role model. Keep moving forward. Lots of dust behind you. Refreshing.

God Bless you, Jen.

I feel so much better when I get into this mindset. I have a rumination side that will sink me if I let it. And the challenges of divorced life, raising 2 boys as the custodial mother, dealing with the outsized ego of my suddenly "female" ex-husband, were good training for climbing out of rumination mode. I just recently dug up a tree that wasn't thriving, one that my last beau just decided to plant there in my front yard, and since it was not a native hardwood, I tossed on the compost. Liberation! Then I figured out the bush, a bird-friendly Service Berry, to plant in its place. Then I ordered another 150 daffodil bulbs, because I discovered you can make a rustic bed with logs for perimeter and plant the bulbs under wood chips. No need to dig! I'm already looking forward to spring! Thanks for "Seying" everything! Here's a 4 second demo: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/VmYS4pGydlU

Thanks for opening up this insight into you. I could comment on so much. However, I will just comment on the 80/20 decision part. Many years ago I was a young IT executive at a fortune 500 company and was tasked with working with the VP of sales on a project. He was well respected and successful. I asked him his one thing that he learned to be successful and he almost verbatim told me the same 80/20 decision making rule you outlined. I have endeavored since then to do that myself. Thanks again for this real insight into you Jennifer.
