I think you nailed it with what this is about. It's about ideology not looks. You're either with them or against them; the latter means you have a thinking brain and can't be controlled by them. Also means you're fair game for whatever ridiculous criticism and general dumbassery they want to throw at you. Keep up the good work.

"At the end of the day, I suppose their unstated views are: if you have what they consider to be “right wing” views you deserve any criticism you get. By any means necessary, might describe their overall vibe on this."

I think you give them too much credit to characterize them as hypocrites - that would require they have a set of beliefs that they developed after taking the time to carefully evaluate an issue. They have never carefully evaluated anything. So your comment about deserving any criticism you get is correct -- if you dare to transgress one of their holy writs you are fair game for anything they can come up with. Seriously stupid people.

I am attracted to you mind, soul and integrity. You revealed your true character in departing the corporate world on your own terms and published the story. Levi's Unbuttoned. That is where I met you. I have been following your journey subsequently. You are a leader and are making a difference. You are doing God's work in a very dysfunctional world intent on destructive behavior. You own your success.

Ah yes, the beauty queens of the left...

Maxine and Nancy! Keep forging new beginnings, Jenn.

Your comment reflects what i was going to say: a person has to be beautiful on the inside to be beautiful on the outside. Not just saying to be nice. Jen has internal and external beauty.

God Bless you Jennifer for the conviction and courage to stand up to these self-righteous hypocrites. They are fragile bullies who lack the self-awareness and intelligence to have an honest exchange of ideas and positions without resorting to baseless smears and personal insults.

"why not find an insult that doesn’t directly contradict their stated values?" That would require thinking and thinking is dangerous... it can lead to [gasp] finding that they are wrong.

Also, they make hateful comments because they are jealous of you - they got none of your achievements. Deep inside they are even jealous of your being invited to the White House by Trump The Horrible (they won't admit that of course). It's easy to praise a morbidly obese or equally morbidly pierced person - someone they are not jealous of.

Jennifer, the more someone alienates himself from the natural order, the more rhetoric must be employed to obfuscate and deny the truth. The delusions of transgenderism demand a furious assault on reality and anyone who points it out. People have always tried to build themselves up by cutting others down. This becomes particularly outlandish and vicious, it would seem, when the identity you are trying to build up contradicts what everyone knows inherently, including those propagating the lies.

In other words, it’s not women and certainly not you. It’s not even the usual egotism that makes us try to feel good about ourselves at others expense. It’s a hyper version of that egotism inspired by a deep self-hatred that far surpasses mere insecurity. The almost-comical hypocrisy results from this.

I’ve been attacked in print but never more viciously than by people suffering from body dysphoria and their enablers. It’s weird, but it’s not inexplicable given the scope of the lie that these folks are so desperate to maintain.

Also, with apologies, you are perfectly lovely. That probably adds to the fury of those coming after you for your principled stand.

Clearly there's a sexist double-standard around aging for women, especially white women. Ageism overall is significant in our shallow, media-driven culture.

I think one of the reasons it comes out so clearly with the left is that leftists in general, particularly the males, are often misogynists. When women spout leftist-approved opinions, the misogyny stays just below the surface (mostly).

But when women stand up for themselves and other women in a way that goes against leftist or post-modern assertions, then the gloves come off; the contempt for women bubbles up through their thin, phony veneer of "compassion". It's also seen when these leftist males encounter views they've concluded are part of "the right" - apparently a nebulous construct, seeing as how it can include anyone who disagrees with them.

The slurs and mockery based on someone's physical features is such low-hanging fruit. It truly is the defining behavior of a total asshole, and often a malignant narcissist to boot. As we've noticed, hateful, juvenile slurs about someone's appearance are overwhelmingly leveled at women. The resentment and anger at women just drips from their words because how DARE we have views or values which contradict their own - among other things!

And whether it comes from males or females, the lack of insight into their own projections and thinking is off the charts.

You truly nailed it! Thank you for saying what many of us have experienced or have thought! The hatred (which stems from fear I believe) from the left is outrageous. I’m dumbfounded every day. And, it’s sad. Extremely sad. And yes, we can “not care” what anyone thinks about us and still feel sadness and hurt by cruel comments. We can be rational and logical…and we are still human! Thanks again!

I find people will resort to personal insults when they have nothing of substance to add to the conversation. IMO you should do we weekly post of the "best and brightest" of the bunch so some free thinkers still on the fence, can see who these people really are.

I seek out your words and you because you have so much wisdom to share and you just say it like it is which is so refreshing. I know you are not looking for compliments, but it’s what comes to my mind. I usually find myself agreeing with you out loud to myself, of course.

I hope you know that your voice gives power to those of us mothers who have to stay silent because we are bullied by our families and children while they try to break our spirit until we give. But I will not give and I will not be broken. I hope. Although I get closer and closer every week because it gets harder and harder to stand up alone. Please please keep going.
