So disappointing. They basically said they’re doing this because they have to, not because it is the right thing to do.

It explains how the population became so dumb that a guy in make up and a dress could seriously be considered a woman. Thats what’s taught.

However, Penn is correct in saying that "they always had complied with the law and that the law had simply changed."

Obama's "Dear Colleague" letter in 2016 changed the law. Penn followed it, because they had no choice.

During his first term, Trump did nothing about this.

Then in 2021, Biden reinforced it through various Executive Orders and Ed Dept edicts, which were then the subject of various court cases with varying outcomes.

Not until Trump came back into office in 2025 and issued new EOs did the policy change.

As much as I despise the liar, coward, bully, and thief Thomas, his enablers were following the law at the time.

And that law will return (and in far greater force and range) if the Democrats ever regain power at the federal level, because EVERY Democrat in Congress is either a true believer in transqueer ideology (about 80% of them), or cowers in fear of the transqueer lobby (the other 20%).

Why would you (or anyone) expect an actual apology? UPenn doesn’t believe they did anything wrong, they are simply avoiding being the next Harvard.

Because I have faith in some of humanity, that at least some leadership have backbones, and that academic institutions might actually exhibit intellectual integrity.

So, expect? No.

But still hope.

It’s been said before but I’ll repeat it. Women’s sports should not be a fall back plan for mediocre male athletes. Women’s private spaces should not be perverts’ playgrounds.

An adult male who transitions (who should be free to do so) are " transitioning" or "transitioned" men so should be called "trans-man" or "trans-male". A transitioned male is not a woman. A women is a women. Likewise, an adult female who transitions (who should be free to do so) is a "trans-woman" and cannot be male. Let's use language accurately!

It's hard to find something short, but I think something more like 'Man pretending to be a woman' is nearer the mark.

It wasn’t an apology. It was an acknowledgement that they got cornered and they had to do something to save face and give the impression they’re on the right side of history on this one. They’ll soon be back to their woke tricks in some other capacity.

They're bad people. It's still unbelievable that any of this ever happened.

Trump and the MAGA team will be remembered as heroes for fixing this.

Cheers to Riley Gaines and put "Lia Thomas" in the stocks

Can’t wait to see a sample of one the heartfelt letters of (non)apology that Penn is required to send to the members of the women’s swim team who were (among other things) forced to share a locker room with Thomas. Lots of billable hours went into these; no doubt.

It’s an admission of guilt and UPenn should pay a price for its absurdity.

UPenn should either apologize sincerely or defend their position. The mealy-mouthed response only makes them look worse.

This just makes my blood boil.. as usual the Mainstream media hacks will never tell the truth. It sad and disappointing that our colleges and universities are so bought into and taken over by the radical democratic socialists.. All of these women at UPENN deserve a medal for having to deal with all the BS they endured. When will common sense come back? People have lost their minds in this country all over believing we have to be nice and kind to people that are so called " oppressed" such lies, gaslighting, emotional blackmail, and manipulation.

Until the Ivy League and many unis stop teaching Gender Theory as “settled science” and return to teaching critical thinking skills, I would not, as a parent, pay for my child’s university tuitions nor would I fund them as institutions. What uni graduate is qualified to enter the workforce without having been taught critical thinking skills? I also wouldn’t hire a student coming out of a uni with a Gender Studies or Women’s Studies degree from a certain time point onward as one can be assured they’ve been indoctrinated and lack skills to think for themselves.

This is not a partisan issue but they’re making it one - playing politics and blaming Republicans. They have acted without any consideration to the diversity of students they were founded to serve; allowed freedom of speech and freedom of belief to fall at the last place society holds dear to protect these ideals. Heads need to roll at a high level over this IMO.

Can we start with petitioning Berkeley to remove Judith Butler from faculty?

Anyway we believe in Lia except when we need money, then Lia is going under the bus. Principals matter. Principles not so much.
